About Mo

For me, art has always been my life. I was scribbling with crayons at every chance before I even learned how to talk, and that energy has carried through with me to this day. I first began showing my art in exhibitions at age 14 (2011), and continued to show my work at exhibitions, galleries, and cafes throughout high school and college. My senior year of high school (2014-2015) I worked for my school’s newly created newspaper, and I continued to work with my university’s newspaper (The Vermont Cynic) as a photographer and an illustrator. I also published my artwork in the university’s art journal (The Gist, formerly called Vantage Point). In 2017 I began to take commissions for tattoo designs, and in 2018 I began to take commissions for illustrations and paintings.

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont in 2019, with a major in Art History and Studio Art and a minor in Business Administration. I received a Master of Education from the Relay Graduate School of Education in 2022 after teaching elementary school students for 2 years. Teaching kids has been not only a wonderful, enriching experience for me, but it has given me immense insight into the world of kids and in particular, kid’s literature. I never thought of myself as a children’s illustrator before I began teaching, but now, I would be honored to illustrate children’s stories.

In January of 2024 I began an apprenticeship under award-winning artist Chris Flynn at his tattoo studio in Gardiner, Maine. Working at Touch of Grey Tattoo has allowed me to explore a new an exciting medium of artistic expression, and I’m excited to continue to push my skills as I learn from those around me.

Mo currently lives in Bath, ME, with her boyfriend and their 3 cats: Shinji, Olive, and Bandit. In her free time, Mo enjoys spending time in nature, traveling the world, playing video games, and playing piano. She is always seeking to learn new skills, and enjoys participating in new and challenging activities.
